The Private Collections is the perfect example of jewelry as an art form. Throughout the two year development process, the artist found the pieces almost magically metamorphosed into uniquely individual pieces of art to be displayed or worn by one who desires to be creatively different.
The Private Collection jewelry begin with the fusing of multiple layers of dichroic glass* creating a “Dichroic Dome” that is then enhanced with Swarovski Crystals, gem stones, pearls and small crystal beads to form the final piece.
Each piece has multiple functionality incorporated into the design so the wearer may select it to be displayed in a myriad of directions. It can be hung on a chain, or incorporated into a more elaborate necklace. They may also be transformed into a brooch if it is the desire of the wearer or even framed as jewelry art!
These and other pieces from The Private Collection are for sale or available for a Gallery Showing. Contact Kreations at: email@example.com for availability and pricing.
Pieces Of Dichroic Glass before fusing
* Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metals or oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it has a particular transmitted color and a completely different reflected color, as certain wavelengths of light either pass through or are reflected. This causes an array of color to be displayed. The colors shift depending on the angle of view. When the layers of Dichroic are fused they become Kreations “Dichroic Domes” and ready to be transformed into a unique piece of jewelry.
